To offer seniors with “essential services” housing (assisted and independent), adult day services, nutrition, education, transportation, and social activities that promote independence and a healthy continuum of care.

Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Congregate Meals are served between 12:00 Noon and 1:30 p.m.
Suggested donations for meals: $5.00 for seniors 60+ ($10.00 charge for guests under 60)
Homer Senior Citizens, was incorporated in November, 1973 as a non-profit organization to provide services for senior citizens. For the past 40 years HSC has been a leader in providing programs for senior citizens in the Homer area.
Funded through donations, membership dues, Kenai Peninsula Borough, United Way, and State of Alaska grants, we provide services to enhance the seniors in our community.
Membership has its benefits. Our Monthly Newsletter hightlights upcoming events and recognizes the many volunteers who help us at the Center.
SDS E-Alert - New Medicare Card Scam Targeting Seniors
Seniors continue to be the target of many scams in part because they are effective. A new scam is currently being reported here in Alaska. An individual will call declaring that they represent Medicare and they are calling to verify some information so that the senior can received a new Medicare card. They frequently try to tie this need of a “new card” to the Affordable Care Act. The information these crooks are looking for is the Medicare number and banking information.
