About Us:Homer Senior Citizens, was incorporated in November, 1973 as a non-profit organization to provide services for senior citizens. For the past 40 years HSC has been a leader in providing programs for senior citizens in the Homer area. Funded through donations, membership dues, Kenai Peninsula Borough, United Way, and State of Alaska grants, we provide services to enhance the seniors in our community. Membership has its benefits. Our Monthly Newsletter hightlights upcoming events and recognizes the many volunteers who help us at the Center. Hours of OperationMonday through Friday 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Meals are served between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Suggested donations for meals: $5.00 for seniors 60+ ($9.00 charge for guests under 60) Look what could be served?It Could be Fresh Salmon! (We served this at a congregate meal for lunch for a suggested donation of $5.00 for anyone 60 and over. Lunches are open to the public -- 5 days per week.)

Transportation ProgramThis program is funded solely by Homer Senior Citizens, Inc. and fees for service. If you need a ride and you are 55 years or older call our office at (907) 235-7655 and make your reservation (24 hour advance notice is required.)
