Friendship Center The Friendship Center is located within the Homer Senior Center Campus. Fifteen to twenty participants attend the center from a few hours each day to a full day. The center is open five days a week from Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The Center's qualified staff provide a variety of activities. This program allows individuals to remain in the community by providing day care so that other members of the family can work and carry out daily activities. Nutrition Each full day participant is served breakfast or a snack, a hot lunch and an after noon snack. The breakfast and the noon meal each include one-third of the recommended dietary allowance. |
Special Events Depending on the time of year, special events such as halibut fishing and plays are scheduled for participants. In addition, many local groups and individuals volunteer their time and come to the Friendship Center to entertain and work with the participants.
