    At Friendship Terrace (Assisted Living Residence), our goal is to help each resident stay healthy, functional and in charge of their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

    Envision yourself settled comfortably in your apartment surrounded by your prized possessions. Kachemak Bay's clear water shimmers as sunlight daubs the mountains in rosy hues. You make yourself some tea as you watch the colors changing at sunset. Everything you need to start enjoying leisure living is in place.

    At Friendship Terrace (Assisted living Residence) you can receive services and personalized care in the privacy of your one bedroom apartment. Each 357 square foot unit features a kitchenette living room, bedroom and a bathroom. At Friendship Terrace, we place a high value on your privacy and independence.

     The Friendship Terrace is a 40 unit apartment complex serving residents 60 and older who require assistance with two or more daily activities. Resident Assistants are on duty 24 hours a day.

     Depending on the need, residents are helped with laundry, eating, medication monitoring, cleaning, bathing, walking, and toileting. Medical services are not provided such as in a long term care facility or nursing home. The primary emphasis is on helping each resident to be as independent as possible.

      Each resident is required to pay for meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Meals are normally served in the Homer Senior Center dinning room which is attached by an indoor handicap accessible walkway.

    Some residents participate in the activities at the Friendship Center (Adult Day Services) which is connected to the apartment complex. Other activities are provided during the day and evenings by volunteers and the staff. Residents have access to a library, wellness center, television, games, computers and arts and crafts in a central activities room.
